The Day Eden Hazard Destroyed Arsenal

During lockdown, I saw an animation using doodles depicting a famous goal and this inspired me to recreate one of my favourite Chelsea goals. This project was very much a labour of love as this project required lots of frame-by-frame doodling with Adobe Animate using the live action for reference. I took my illustration to After Effects where I camera tracked pitch lines and the fake 2D crowd using CC Ball Action.

I was very happy with final result, despite the time needed to create this animation and the ache on my wrist!

Street Fighter 2D Character Animations

I have always loved the simplicity of 2D character animation and I wanted to experiment using Rubberhose and Duik for these animations. I designed all of the elements in Illustrator and created shape layers with Overlord in After Effects. For Dhalsim, I used Rubberhose for the stretchiness of his arms as the character rig was much simpler compared to the the Duik rig with Blanka where I used a walk cycle and multiple poses when Blanka does his signature Electricity move and rolling jump.
